Trail Race Championship 2024
ANNOUNCING THE RACES IN THE STEEL CITY STRIDERS TRAIL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024
The following races have been selected to feature in the 2024 staging of the Steel City Striders Trail Championship. The dates of the first two races have been announced, however others are estimated based on when those races were held in 2023 – any changes will be communicated, and we reserve the right to swap races where subsequent clashes may ensue.
There are 12 races on the calendar, but you aren’t expected to do all of them.
For each race, you’ll score points based on how your time compares to the first-placed runner of the same sex, and your best five scores will count.
At the end of the year, prizes will be awarded to the top 2 men and women in senior, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ age categories. Your age category is based on your age on January 1st, 2024.
To enter the Championship, just enter the races, and our crack results team will do the rest.

Congratulations to all the winners and runners-up, your medals will be presented at the 2025 AGM sometime in January, but a massive thanks must go to each and every one of you that got involved with the champs this year – in total, there were 110 Striders who attempted at least one of the races, and on average those people completed 2.5 races each, so a successful championships by all accounts!
