Wilmslow Running Festival – 23rd March

Carol Beattie and Sarah Percival took a trip across the Pennines for the popular Wilmslow Running Festival.  Both opted to run the half-marathon – a 10k race was also on offer.  The race  has been described as a ‘beautiful Cheshire countryside course that is both fast and flat – a PB course!’

Carol illustrated the amazing strength in depth Striders have amongst our F70 women, claiming 2nd place and breaking the 2 hour barrier.  She was less than a minute behind F70 winner, Helen Todd from Stockport, and ran her quickest half marathon since 2017.

Sarah Percival had a fine run in her age category, also finishing very close to the two hour mark.
