Race date: Sunday 19th January 2025

Wanting to get your 2025 fitness goals off to a good start? Then the Sherwood New Year 10k & 5k might be the race for you! Set in the picturesque Sherwood Pines forest the routes were updated this year with runners only needing to run one full lap for each distance, predominantly on the trails.

118 runners took part in the 5k. The race was won by Anna Kemp, unaffiliated, in 19:37. The first male finisher was Samuel Kemp, also unaffiliated, in 19:50.

481 runners participated in the the 10k. The men’s race was won by George Lewis of East cheshire Harriers and Tameside AC in 36:53. The first female finisher was Carolyn Hay of Mansfield Harriers and AC in 39:18.
