After a five year hiatus, Mickleden Straddle is back! The route over difficult high-level moorland terrain and potential for severe weather conditions make this race a serious winter challenge. This BL category fell race over 14.3miles with 2431ft ascent and was also the first race in the club’s Fell Race Championship this year, so it attracted a small band of six hardy Striders who took on the challenge.
