Race report by Hannah Wright

If you enjoy an undulating road race, taking you around the surrounding area of Loughborough… this race is for you. 

I booked the race before I had agreed to try XC Nationals (on the Saturday). My legs were shattered and was still having nightmares about the mud. Despite that I headed out for the Leicester HM. 

Weather conditions were good but there was still mud for the first 2 miles of the race from previous night of rain. This wasn’t ideal for a road race (and my nightmares). Road shoes are not designed for muddy conditions. 

After this section it was a circular route on the road. Then back to the muddy section on the return for the last few miles.
