Race date: 9 February 2025
Organised by Peaks and Dales Guiding the Unstone Undulator is described as “a brand new trail race around the beautiful tracks and footpaths of Unstone and Dronfield, Derbyshire. This six mile loop takes runners on a scenic journey through forests and fields, with a few tough climbs and flowing descents to enjoy on the way.”
What’s more, the route is self-guided with no GPX files, maps or even marshals. Instead, on the day of the race, participants receive written instructions to follow. Another quirk is that you can start whenever you like. Less stress if you’re queuing for the toilets!
43 participants took part in the inaugural event. The race was won by Alastair Lawson (unattached) in 53:48 and Lynn Higgs of Mid Essex Casuals in 00:59:47.
