As many of you know I am not a hill seeker… but the words of Steve Blake ‘hills are mounds of opportunity’.
Urban nights is a series of running races around Sheffield with an element of navigation. So I headed on a very wet Thursday evening after work to take part. Very wet is an understatement… it was pi$$ing it down.
The cost is 50p if you don’t have your own dibber and there were printed maps on arrival. With my head torch donned I headed out with my map and a colleague from work.
With successful navigation we completed the route and made it back to the start. The race was low key and friendly with a nice pint of beer to finish at the pub.
A selection of hardy runners competed in this 7.4km course with 1000ft of climbing in tough weather conditions. The race was won by Adam Methven in 30.03. First female was Chloe Potter in 35.12.
