Race Date: Wednesday 24th April 2024

This race is usually well supported by Striders so I was surprised to only find one Strider amongst the 205 entrants. Well done to Martin Hughes, who flew the Striders flag.

This year it was a new 10k course starting from the Norfolk Arms instead of Sheffield Tigers RUFC. The PDF of the route shows no mad dash down Hathersage Road but quite a lot of Houndkirk Road. Definitely more of a trail race than the previous route – but I always liked that climb up Limb Valley.

Anyway, the male race was won by Thomas Harrison of Hallamshire Harriers in 38.10. The women;s race was won by Phillipa Williams of DPFR in 41.07.
