Hello all the way from Tbilisi, Georgia. 🇬🇪 It was the Tbilisi Half Marathon and 10k on 22nd September. This is an annual race around the city streets. It was well attended and nicely organised with chip timing. Oddly enough, it is promoted as the Tbilisi Marathon but there is no marathon distance, only a half and a 10k. The weather was great (around 22 C) and the rain held off. Both races started near the Radisson Hotel simultaneously and followed Rustaveli Avenue then along the embankment, back tracked and crossed the river before following the other side and tracking along Davit Agmashenebeli Avenue before crossing the river again. The Half marathon completed two loops with a short extension on the second one. There are other races in the area but they are all trail races.
It’s the only real chance I get to run in the city. Roads are closed during the race making it a pleasure to run the city streets without the incessant traffic. In normal circumstances, pavements are an obstacle course (random potholes and uneven surfaces everywhere).

First male in the half marathon was Bogdan Semenovych (1:07:05) and first female was Nataliia Semenovych (1:20:03).
