Another Grim up North race, another friendly, low key event with chocolates, strawberries & cream, melon, drinks, hot dogs and a large medal for the runners at the end. This race was the exact same route along the Leeds-Liverpool canal towpath from Kirkstall that I ran in December, only on this occasion I ran 10 minutes faster so I was quite pleased. Whilst I was running the half marathon distance another Strider, Giulia Neri, did the loop twice to complete the full marathon distance. I was glad I was only doing the half marathon distance as it rained for most of the day.
Half marathon results:
Andrew Cox (unattached) won the race in 1:31:17 and Victoria Freedman (unattached) was first female in a time of 1:38:59. There were 33 finishers. Striders results were as follows:

Full marathon results:
Warren Langler-Watts (100 marathon club) won the race in 2:51:57 and Cara Kirkness (unattached) was first female in a time of 3:48:51. There were 36 finishers. Striders results were as follows:
