Event Date: Sunday 13th October 2024
Both races on offer at the Run Leicester Festival start in the city’s Victoria Park, before touring the city centre and local parks. The 10k turns back between Abbey Park and the National Space Centre, while the the Half continues north east, and loops around Watermead Country Park before returning to the start/finish. The route is described as ‘relatively flat’.
Claire Wren was the sole Strider among 1309 runners who lined up for the Run Leicester 10k. The men’s race was won by Matt Scarsbrook of Badgers in a time of 00:31:22. Gemma Steel of Charnwood won the women’s race in a time of 00:35:20.

There were two Striders among 2863 runners who lined up for the Run Leicester Half Marathon. The men’s race was won by Mo Hussain of Roadhoggs Leicester AC in a time of 01:07:28. Emma Styles (unaffiliated) won the women’s race in a time of 01:20:29.
