Race Dates: Saturday 22nd/Sunday 23rd November 2024
The race blurb states: Late autumn trail adventure weekender. Two days of classic trails covering a grand tour and highlights of White Peak and Dark Peak. In our usual Ranger Ultras ‘low-key, great-value’ style, which runners tell us they love. Excellent trail running days in their own right (featuring the Pennine Way and Pennine Bridleway), the PS&N is also an ideal choice for preparation and build up to the Ranger Ultras multi-day, expedition style, Pennine Bridleway PB137km & PB270km Trail Challenges. The route is not waymarked (beyond fixed finger posts) but is wholly on public rights of way. Several on course refreshment and drinks points. Total ascent Day One 1439 metres, Day Two 1649 metres. GPX files are sent to all entries well in advance of the race. Based in Edale, Peak District with plenty of parking. We have bookable hostel accommodation options to help make your weekend super easy to arrange. The village also has a good choice of local B&B accommodation, pubs and shops. There is pre and post event hospitality in HQ, finishers medals and winners’ trophies.
Only one Strider took park in the event, Giulia Neri, who took park in the 43km event on the Sunday along with 20 others. The male 43km race was won by James Ross in 4.17.11. The female 43km race was won by Lauren Bagshaw in 5.34.11.
