Race Date: Saturday 17th August 2024
An event from Tough Trails offering four distances: Ultra, Marathon, Half and Ten Miler; this result is for the Marathon (actual distance 28 miles). Set in the heart of the Peak District and starting in Edale, a self-navigated* race with varied terrain including “sheep tracks, muddy paths, rocky descents and even a climb up waterfall with crystal clear water”.
*recces were laid on by the organiser in the months prior to the official event.
Giulia displays the race bling
Our intrepid Strider Giulia described the race as “Not as hellish as I was expecting…but still the toughest race I have run in the Peak District”.
Giulia was the lone Strider among 30 runners who lined up for Edale’s Ring Of Hell Marathon. The men’s race was won by Lee Parker in a time of 04:46:00. Sarah Pick won the women’s race in a time of 06:50:00. No club or category information was provided.
