The Yorkshire Trail Runs – Harewood House Trail Races, a Wild deer event
Race options: 5km, 10km, half marathon
To mix up my long distance training I decided to enter the half marathon last minute. A change of scenery to keep me motivate through the winter months.
The race is now in its fourth year and takes part in and around Harewood House Estate. This year a new half marathon course.
Parking was free (5 minutes from race village), plenty of loos and a coffee van.
The route was marshalled and different coloured arrows marked the different routes. Very easy to follow.
The course was a great mix of everything a trail runner would want. Hills, mud, fields and Highland Cattle.
I enjoyed the challenges the course provided and would recommend this race to any trail lover.

Half Marathon: First man was Neal Edmondson (HORSFORTH HARRIERS) in 1:31:28 and first lady was Hannah Coleman (DERBY ATHLETICS) in 1:49:46.

5K: In the 5K no Striders were listed. The winners were both juniors, Alastair Willett in 21:30 and Anna Schlosshan in 25:25.
