Race Date: Sunday 8th September 2024

In contrast to last year’s heat wave, this year we had a rain wave. Thankfully the temperature was still holding pretty well so although we all got a good soaking for 2.5 hours, at least we managed to stay quite warm. The sun came out for the end of the race so we managed to dry out a little of the homeward stretch

This is the classic Totley AC fell race. 17 miles and over 3000 feet of climb. Huge thanks must go to all of the volunteers who stood out in the rain, with big smiles on their faces and cheered us though the checkpoints. If you like a good run out in the peaks, you should try this event. Only 71 people started this year. There were significantly more people entered but I this the weather put a good number off. I was glad I made the effort (eventually)!

The male race was won by Bart Shaw of Totley AC in 2.25.32. The female race was won by Sally Fawcett of DPFR in 2.41.47
