This is a fast out and back route with a slight incline up for the first 5km which you then get the benefit of on the way back.
It’s not the most scenic but you do get to see a lot of the other runners including the lead group.
39 Striders ran the Dewsbury 10km which was not in the road championships this year. it must have been for the T shirt which was purple this year.
The overall male winner was Jo Sagar in 30:16, the overall female winner was Stephie Pennycook in 34:08.
There were 2444 finishers.
