DREAM BIG. RUN HARD. RACE ICONIC.
A Race route built by runners for runners. It’s a route with world record potential. It’s an iconic run across the cityscape of Dubai, passing by the landmarks that make the city famous. A route designed not only for speed due to its elevation, but it’s one of the most attractive routes in the world, designed to inspire you all the way. Starting at dawn near the world’s only 7 Star hotel, the Burj Al Arab, and run through the coastal palm-tree lined roads ending at the magnificent Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai .
The inaugural event saw just shy of 3,000 finishers in the open category with the race also attracting elite categories for the men and women. The first elite male over the line was Enos Kipruto Saat from Kenya in 01:03:28. The first elite female finisher was Atalena Napule Gaspore from South Sudan in 01:11:25.
If we look to the open category, one most of us are much more familiar with, the first person over the line was Anouar El Ghouz, interestingly in a quicker time than the elite winner in 01:01:26. The first female over the line was Debash Kelali in 01:11:42.
Our trusted overseas representative, Steve Lewis, was in attendance and here is his result:
