Race Date: Sunday 10th September 2023

For the 9th outing, the Vale Of York Half Marathon organisers added a 10k race to their event, using the flat course with PB potential as a selling point for both races. The event is run on country lanes from Wistow near Selby, North Yorkshire.

Four Striders were among 781 runners who lined up for the Vale Of York Half. The men’s race was won by Edward Hobbs of Ilkley Harriers in a time of 1:09:42. Heather Townsend of Leeds City AC won the women’s race in a time of 1:14:42.

“I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle” – Andy means business in the 10k.

Three Striders were among 202 runners who lined up for the Vale Of York 10k. The men’s race was won by Shane Grace of St Theresas AC in a time of 33:28. The excellently named Betty Bergstrand of Pudsey & Bramley AC won the women’s race in a time of 37:49.
