Race Date: Tuesday 23rd May 2023
190 runners for a tough 6.5 mile course of Totley Moor that throws in as many hills as possible – and for those in the know, it’s always hilarious to hear the after race reactions of the uninitiated to the sting in the tail as we’re sent back up Strawberry Lee Lane for a cruel final twist to the race.
It was a beautiful evening for a race yesterday and the pre race chatter and post race support was excellent as always. Well done to all 16 Striders in attendance. The male race was won by Bertie Houghton of DPFR in 40.49. The female race was won by Eve Pannone of Eden Runners in 48.35.
There were a lot of category prizes from Striders but special mention to Abbie Pearse, 2nd female overall and 1st in category, Paul Middlemas, 1st MV40, and striders women being placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
