Race Date: Sunday 6th August 2023
A fixture in the city of York since 2009, this year’s 10k was blessed with sunshine. The route is considered one of the most beautiful city runs in the country, taking in several of York’s historic landmarks.
Three of our eight Striders at the York 10k
The field of 3646 runners included 8 Striders. Joshua Dickinson of Leeds City Athletic Club won the men’s race in a time of 00:30:31. The women’s race was run by Charlotte Mason of City of York AC in a time of 00:35:22.
Hawk-eyed readers will note that Strider Jacqui Herring’s chip time is at odds with her finishing position, this was due to a late start following a car parking nightmare!
