Race Date: Sunday 5th March 2023
Organised by Retford AC, the Retford Half is advertised as a great warm up event for those doing an April marathon. Retford is a market town located in Nottinghamshire, east of Sheffield on the other side of Worksop. Starting at the Retford Oaks Academy, the route heads north-west away from the town, looping back at Torworth, with the out and back sections pinched together in the middle at Barnby Moor, location of one of three water stations. Entrants completing the race this year got a technical tee.

624 runners took part in the Retford Half, including 18 Striders. Lee Milburn of Rotherham Harriers & AC won the men’s race in a time of 01:09:56. The women’s race was won by Jenny Blizard, also of Rotherham Harriers & AC, in a time of 01:21:20.
