Race Date: Saturday 14th January 2023
The Kong Winter Fell Series includes 5 races at various locations in the Lake District. Prizes are awarded for each race and the series, when your best 4 out of the 5 races count.
Race 3 – SOB is a 5 miler with 1640ft of climb starting at Braithwaite Lodge and, as the name suggests, takes you up (and down) Stile End, Outerside and Barrow.
Striders Gillian Allen and Mark Platton took part in race 3 (Mark looks to have been accompanied by a Platton Junior).
First man was Ben Rothery (Ilkley Harriers AC) in 37:07and first lady was Hannah Russell (Helm Hill Runners) in 43:58. There were 234 finishers.
