Race Date: Wednesday 15th November 2023
157 runners for this year’s Hathersage night fell race. If you like headtorch running, fell, mud, rain, fog, puddles, insane descents, etc, then this was for you. Both the Tuesday fell group and the Thursday UHTG had recced the route recently so we all knew what to expect. Some of us treated it as an evening excursion whilst others rightly raced it. We all had a good debrief and natter over a couple of pints in the Scotsman’s Pack afterwards.
The female winner was our own Caroline Brock with Sian Evans coming in 3rd after some school girl shoe choice errors. The male winner was Greg Hopkinson of Matlock AC in 34.52.
