Race Date: Thursday 15th June 2023
328 runners for this year’s Grindleford fell race. The weather was lovely. the beer was cold, the burgers were hot and the race was….hard.
Up to Longshaw, through Longshaw to Padley, straight down Padley then along and through the river back to Grindleford. 4.8 miles with 722 feet of climb. What’s not to like about this event. It’s definitely a Striders favourite as there was loads of us there. Well done to everyone for giving some fell a go.
The male race was won by Tom Saville of DPFR in 31.52. The female race was won by Phillipa Williams also DPFR in 33.37.
