Race Date: Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th December 2023
The Christmas Cracker is a two day event in Kirkstall, Leeds, with races of several distances run on flat paved paths, roads and canal paths.
Day 1: 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, 20 Miler and Marathon.
Day 2: 5k, 10k, 10 Miler, Half Marathon, 20 Miler, Marathon and 50k.
Age category positions were not displayed in the results.
Giulia Neri represented SCS on Day 1, one of 17 finishers in Saturday’s Early Bird Marathon. The men’s race was won by Jordan Waters of Horsforth Harriers in a time of 3:28:15. Louise Murray (unaffiliated) won the women’s Half in a time of 3:37:39.

Day 2’s 10k featured Strider James Shirtliff and saw 92 runners cross the finish line. The men’s race was won by Robert Cranham (unaffiliated) in a time of 40:40. Hannah Riley (unaffiliated) won the women’s race in a time of 45:16.

Over in the Half Marathon, Dave Beech was the Strider representative amongst 68 finishers. The men’s race was won by Ben Pease of Wycombe in a time of 83:48. Rachel Grandey (unaffiliated) won the women’s race in a time of 1:44:33.
