Race Date: Monday 29th May 2023
245 runners for a Bank Holiday sprint to the top of Win Hill up Parkin Clough and back down again to Bamford recreation ground via Thornhill. It was a splendid day for the weather, the race and the carnival like atmosphere in the field. The £5 race fee got the entrant access to the sheepdog trials and all the paraphernalia that came with it. A great family day out.
The male race was won by Daniel Haworth of Matlock AC in 30.50. The female race was won by Katie Walshaw of Holmfirth Harriers in 34.38 with our own Abbie Pearse coming in close behind in second place.
