Race Date: Sunday January 30th 2022
The Tigger Tor Fell Race is organised by Totley Athletics Club, and is the first of five races in their annual series. The race requires the FRA minimum kit, and is often run in sub zero conditions. Competitors navigate 11 checkpoints in order via an unmarked route, starting and finishing at the Sheffield Tigers Club House on Hathersage Road. This year was the 37th running of the race.
243 runners lined up for the Tigger Tor. The men’s race was won by Michael Kenyon of Dronfield RC in a time of 1:07:19. Juliet Downs of Dark Peak FR won the women’s race in a time of 1:21:43, with Strider Abbie Pearse in 2nd, just 4 seconds behind. 9 Striders took part.
