Race Date: Monday 9th May 2022
Race 3 of The Trunce started at the usual time and place: 6:45pm from the farm track adjacent to Oxpring playing fields. For the uninitiated, The Trunce is a 9 race series, with all races run off-road along the same route from the village of Oxpring, north of Sheffield in the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley. Race 4 is scheduled for Monday May 30th.
Stuart and Jude tackle a water feature
190 runners took part in race 3. Winner of the men’s senior race was Thomas Coney of Wakefield & District Harriers, in a time of 0:27:43. The women’s senior race was won by Ellie Crownshaw of Bradfield, in a time of 0:33:00. Five Striders took part.
