Six Dales Circuit result

Race Date: Saturday 12th November 2022

Being more of a challenge event than a race, the LDWA served up another stunning event with this year’s Six Dales Circuit.

25.7 miles of terrain to cover, as quickly as you can. Walkers go off first and runners go about an hour later. It’s good fun chasing the walkers down for the first half of the race. After that it’s just between the field of runners.

The scenery is stunning, particularly the first four dales: Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale and Lathkill Dale (my favourite). The last two, Bradford Dale and Long Dale are pretty decent too.

3 aid stations on the way round, serving Staffordshire Oat cakes, Quiche, Chocolate Bars, Fruit Cocktail and loads more – enough food to slow you down – followed by a full blown Chilli meal at the end – all for the LDWA members price of £11. What a steal!!

Two and a half Striders took part. I shaved 24 minutes off last year’s time to finish under 5 hours for the first time. As it’s a challenge event, no results are given. Finishers just eye each others certificates up to see how they compared.
