Race Date: Thursday 11th August 2022
A wonderful evening for a 4.5 mile, 787 feet fell race. It was hot (but I’ve known it hotter). A very friendly little race which begins and ends very close to the Square and Compass pub (perfect). There are 2 big (ish) hills and a smaller hill with the subsequent descents so nice and undulating.
158 runners took part and the female race was won by our very own Gillian Allen – awesome performance Gilly, well done. The male race was won by Harvey Martin (unattached) in 29.06. 7 Striders made the trip over to Darley Dale and quenched their thirst in the pub afterwards.
