Race Date: Saturday 9th April 2022

Lone Strider Steven Lewis took part in the Ramadan Night Run 10k which took place on a floodlit golf course in Abu Dhabi at 10pm – a time when many of us would have probably been tucked up in bed!

On the night there were three distances to choose from: 2.5k, 5k and the 10k with close to 500 participants deciding to run to raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease.

The race was won by David Merryman from the USA in a time of 38:01, and the first female over the line was Jessica Pigott, also from the USA in a time of 48:25.

Steve achieved a time of 53:20 coming 32nd overall, 28th in his gender category and 11th in his age group – a great result given the 25 degree heat and time of the race!
