Race Date: Saturday 20th August 2022

The Track Challenge returned for its third year on 20th August 2022 at Nottingham’s Harvey Hadden Athletics Stadium. The event featured paced 5000m races throughout the day; finishing off with elite races featuring some of the country’s top 5000m runners. In the last two events, over 65% of runners set a new pb!

Strider Seth Kirby ran in event E and came a very creditable 2nd place in his race. He set a new 5k PB of 17.05.24 and would have beaten 4 other runners in event D with that time. Awesome stuff Seth, well done.

The fastest male time of the event was Alastair Watson of Notts/Hermitage in 14.31.97. The fastest woman was Leila Armoush of Leeds City/Sheffield Uni in 17.19.38.
