There were some strong Strider performances at this year’s Manchester Marathon, with many personal bests and some taking on the marathon distance for the first time. Well done all!
The following club records fell to new owners:
MS club record – Rob Byers (a record that had stood for 35 years!).
MV65 club record – Dave Beech.
FV65 club record – Kate Waddicor.
Age category positions of note:
Kate Waddicor and Steph Street were 3rd and 4th in FV65 respectively,
Caroline Brock 13th in FV35,
Dave Beech 17th in MV65,
Kate Scott 19th in FV55,

The elite race was won by Jonny Mellor (Liverpool Harriers) in 2:10:46 and first woman was Becky Briggs (City of Hull) in 2:29:06.
The general race was won by Fraser Stewart (Cambuslang Harriers) in 2:18:40 and first woman was Katie King (St Edmund Pacers) in 2:46:13.
