Higham Hurtle Results

Race Date: Thursday 12th May 2022

“Nice trail paths through the woods, bit of climb, finish round the cricket pitch” is how Strider Jo Gleig neatly summarised the Higham Hurtle route, a 5.14 mile (8.27km) trail race out of Higham, a village west of Barnsley.

Fixture two of the SCS Trail Champs continued where fixture 1 left off, with another Strider win! Sarah Allcard took the top spot in the women’s race, great work Sarah. Also among the prizes were Vicki McAuley and Neil Schofield, both 2nd in their respective categories, and another club captain performance from Neil as the first Strider to finish; well done to you both. With all Striders finishing in the top half of their categories, and plenty of smiles in the photographs, it looks like it was a good evening’s running all round. Next up in the Trail Champs: Fixture 3, the Kimmy Kanter, June 7th.
