The Crawl is a road-and-trail race organised by Friends of Lydgate Juniors Association, raising money for the school and for charity. It’s a scenic anti-clockwise nearly-loop, starting the the Three Merry Lads and ending up on the playing field by the Sportsman. In between is a sloggy little climb and an undulating trail round the reservoirs. 123 runners completed the course this year.
The race was won by Mark Prince in 24:43; and by Strider Hannah Mainprize in 28:14. On top of the prize for first female, Helen Royles-Jones (and Gus) won first canicross.
