Race Date: Sunday 2nd October 2022

The 2nd October 2022 was a popular day for marathons this year. Over in Germany, the Generali Cologne Marathon was taking place. It’s known as the ‘experience marathon’ taking in plenty of interesting sites over and along the Rhine including the Cologne Cathedral, Romanesque churches and parks.

There were close to 3000 runners who took part on the day with wins for Germany in both the male and female races. Tobias Blum in 02:16:24 and Sabine Berkdorf in 02:40:39.

Just one Strider took part on the day; Ed Startup. Fair to say he smashed it!
