Race Date: Wednesday 13th July 2022
There were 147 runners on a lovely summer’s evening in Bamford, including a smattering of Striders. This is one of my favourite mid week fell races (usually because it signifies the end of the school year and the beginning of a long holiday!)
The race is 4.5 miles long with just over 1000ft of climb. Basically, up Win Hill through Thornhill then straight down again. What’s not to like!
The male race was won by Euan Patton of DPFR in 29.03. The women’s race was won by Majka Kunicka also of DPFR in 36.39. Al Cook was first Strider home despite him taking a big tumble as he came off Win Hill – ouch!!
