Half a dozen Striders braved the December mud and gales for some beautiful scenery and a lovely warm hat. At least one of them fell over, and Al Cook and Sian Evans were both third in their categories.
The race was won by Jonathan Escalante-Phillips of Cambridge & Coleridge AC in 54:37, over a minute ahead of his nearest rival; and Sarah Shanks of Valley Striders in 1:04:30.
