The Arlington Court Canter was the 25th running of this not-quite 10k trail race across National Trust grounds in North Devon, and has a very familiar feel to it (anyone who has run the Trust 10 at Longshaw would have felt very at home). It was also my first opportunity to race against my brother (a younger, better looking, faster version of me), and whilst he did beat me, coming 8th, he was (only) 3rd Vet40, whilst I was 1st Vet50 (in 12th place overall), so I’ll let you decide who is the best runner!
It was great to be back to competitive racing, and even better to win my first age category race.
First place went to Ronnie Richmond, of Bideford AAC, in a time of 35:09, first lady was Vicky Percival, in a time of 50:09.
