There are a fine set of races run by Dark Peak fell runners through a great race curator Tim Tett. I would really recommend these to all runners. Please check Facebook for details. Coming up on Thursday 12th March is the Urban Orienteering where we run through the city with predefined dibbing points.

Phil Howson (ex strider) and Richard Pegg (still allowed to run in the green and gold) ran a great race called the Tipsy Sportsmen. The objective is to run around as many predetermined pubs having a drink at each. Each pub scores so many points with extra points for size of drink. Getting in early gives extra points and getting back later means losing points.
We visited 6 pubs across 15k in 1hr 30mins. Establishments visited were Lescar, Greystones, Union, Brothers, Red Lion, University Arms. We had a great night out. Well recommended.
