Race date: Sunday, 13 October 2019

The YWP 5k is run twice a year in aid of the Wildlife Park, and is billed as a walk, jog, run safari. There’s lots of animal-themed fancy dress, but it’s also a fully licensed 5k race.

1017 runners turned out on a pretty wet day, of whom Elliott Stones (unattached) was fastest, in 17:49.1. Fastest woman was Amy Ross (36th overall; also unattached) in 23:09.9. Only one Strider is listed in the results, but Ben Elmore finished a fantastic 10th.
