The Marlborough Downs Challenge 33 (there’s also a Challenge 20) is a 33-mile trail race near Marlborough, just south of Swindon.

This year’s race was won by two runners, in a dead heat! Michael Gregory and Christopher Brobin, both of Stubbington Green Runners & AC, finished in 4:21:52. Fastest woman was Samantha Amend, of Belgrave Harriers, in 4:54:17.

Strider Alan Evans took part, and to quote his Facebook post: “It was a pretty awesome day but I was truly knackered by the end of it.”
