Race Date: Friday 16th August 2019
Hob Hurst’s Fell Race is a new but traditional fell race in the Peak District this summer, which took place for the first time in 2018.
Starting and finishing at Duke’s Barn on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, the race climbs up through Hell Bank Plantation and across the high moorland to reach the historic Hob Hurst’s House. Competitors then enjoy a long and fast descent back to the village via Beeley Hill top.
This year there were 155 finishers. The race was won by Steve Franklin of Totley AC in 32.50. The women’s race was won by our very own Caroline Brock in 36.07.
