Go Big Moor Fell Race 2019
Race Date: Saturday 12th October 2019
Go Big Moor is centered in Holmesfield, Derbyshire and started from the Village Hall at the back of St. Swithin Church.
Two circular routes are planned around Cordwell Valley, Big Moor and Totley Moor for runners and walkers, following the same paths and tracks as 2018.
The 13 mile route is for fell runners. Directions are provided and the majority of the route will be way marked. This was an FRA BL grade event, map, compass, whistle and body cover had to be carried by competitors.
Apparently, this was an enjoyable event, but with no steep climbs meaning no walking up the tough climbs. First man was Aidan Smith in 01:28:46. First lady was Julie Darigala in 01:53:18. Well done to Alison Barrett for winning her category!
111 people ran the race, of which 9 were Striders.
