Race Date: Thursday 25th July 2019
The Durham City Run Festival was held over 3 days, starting on the Thursday including events for the whole family. Thursday evening saw the 10K and 5K races taking place on the hottest day of the year.
A burst water main caused last minute route changes but the race still finished in front of the cathedral (if my memory of Durham is correct then that means a hill climb just before finishing!)
Two Striders took on the challenge, Jo Carnie and Andrew Long, along with about 1500 other finishers-well done to everyone who completed 10k in that heat.
