Race Date: Sunday November 17 2019
This year’s Derby 10 miler underwent some last minute route changes due to the flooding on the original route, with changes happening as close to race day as Thursday 14th November. Runners were still treated to a flat, fast course taking in sections of the Derby Arena, cycle paths and a section of the old Derby Canal. It is testament to the organisers that they were able to stage the event at all, having had to liaise with private landowners, move and remove fixed barriers and remain in contact with the emergency planning group in order to monitor local river levels ahead of the race.
1,623 people finished the race with Ben Connor of Derby Athletic Club first home in a time of 49:42. First lady was Natalie Bunce of Holme Pierrepoint in 1:02:37. There were four Striders on the day, Lucy Broom leading the pack in 01:11:30.
