Race Date: 17th November 2019
Starting and finishing on the quayside in front of the 700+ year old Conwy Castle, the Conwy Half Marathon is apparently one of the most scenic in the UK.
This relatively flat course runs alongside the Conwy River, flowing towards Deganwy Beach and the West Shore Llandudno. From there it goes along Church Walks towards Llandudno Pier, then around the Great Orme, taking in views of Anglesey, Puffin Island, and the surrounding North Wales coastline, before looping back to Conwy and the finish line.
The men’s race was won by Gary Priestley (Salford Harriers) in 1:08:24 and first woman was Anna Bracegirdle in 1:20:58. There were 2772 finishers of which 2 were Striders.
