It’s always nice to see a Strider at the top of the leader board – well done to Nick Brooker on his victory in the 2018 edition of the Waterway 30. His winning time was 04:12:24. First lady home was Sarah Thomson in a time of 04:54:48

If you’ve never done an ultra marathon but always wondered if you could this is a lovely introduction to long distance racing (if you don’t mind a bit of rain and mud). The course is relatively flat, navigation is simple, and the event has plenty of marshals and aid stations.
