Race date 24 June 2018
Whilst the rest of the club were messing around with the RSR, Strider Jennifer Rich wore a county vest for the first time, earning valuable points for her team Staffordshire in an inter-area competition to beat Cheshire and North Wales.
Stone St Michaels 10k is a fast and flat two-lapper through the suburbs of Stone in Staffs. The course runs along quiet streets, partially closed A roads and a short stretch of canal. With high-grade pb potential, it’s a popular race and the 600 places were all snapped up well in advance.
Jenny finished as second lady behind Elizabeth Renondeau, (Vale Royal AC/Cheshire) who crossed the line in 37:52 whilst first man was Vet and former international Kevin Farrow (Derby & County AC) in 32:56. Only four seconds separated the first three men so this would have been a good one for the spectators to watch.
