Race Date: Saturday 6th January 2018
The Sir Titus Trot is a multi-distance trail event starting in Saltaire, offering 5K, 10K, Half and Full Marathon races, and a 20-mile inbetweener. Racing along the towpath of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, the routes are nice and flat, offering good PB potential.
Striders representation was solely in the marathon distance, with the ladies race being won by our own Jo Taylor in 3:31:49, finishing a very close competition just 12 seconds ahead of her nearest rival. The men’s marathon was won by Ian Richardson (Ackworth Road Runners) in 2:57:08.

The official published results list Jo as being 15th finisher, but that includes finishers of the 20-mile race too, which hardly seems fair; taking into account only marathon runners, Jo was seventh overall.
